By utilizing sex-sorted semen, our clients can select the gender of their choosing with greater than 95% accuracy when they combine our Sexed Sorted Semen option with our ICSI program. That provides more control within the breeding program, allowing our clients to confidently produce foals of the desired gender. Ultimately, that saves our clients both time and money. We also feel that the use of Gender Sorted Semen creates benefits across the industry as this reduces the potential for unwanted foals.
A breeder has the ability to control whether they need a colt or a filly based on their goals.
When a specific gender is desired, breeding without sexed semen sorting can be risky, as there is no guarantee.
By knowing what gender the horse will be, breeders and horse owners can plan more efficiently.

THE EQUINE The Sexed Semen Process
STEP 1
An agreement is signed, and the semen is collected.
STEP 2
The semen is scheduled for sorting.
STEP 3
The sperm cells separate into X and Y chromosomes.
STEP 4
The semen is stored for use with the stallion clients.
STEP 5
ICSI with sorted sperm.
STEP 6
If the insemination is successful, the mare becomes pregnant.
