Nala wasn’t just a dog. She was my sunshine, my shadow, my best friend, and one of the greatest loves of my life.
I rescued Nala over four years ago, but in so many ways, she rescued me right back. She was a beautiful pit bull with the biggest personality, the happiest little tail, and a heart overflowing with love. She loved car rides, picking out her own toys, and going absolutely everywhere with me. Whether she was greeting me at the door with a toy in her mouth or doing her signature little twirl when she got excited, Nala had a way of making even the most ordinary moments unforgettable.
On September 23, 2026, my world changed forever. Nala unexpectedly went into anaphylactic shock, and despite emergency veterinary efforts, I lost my beautiful girl. Just hours earlier, she had been her happy, healthy self. I never imagined our time together would end so suddenly.
Losing Nala has left an emptiness that words cannot describe. She deserved so many more years, so many more adventures, and so much more love.
