Tulle

Tulie has been my only dog as an adult after having dogs throughout my childhood. a few months after losing my long-term feline friend, I found “Tula” at a local Humane Society (on my 3rd trip) in Jacksonville, FL. She was the only dog not either asleep or barking, and she came right up to the fence and looked at me and whined, I could tell she was asking for help, and was scared and confused as to why she was there. My friend whom worked there told me she had only been there 1 day, but they weren’t given any additional information on her besides her name. I took her home that day, and despite some early challenges getting her to walk up stairs, and not to eat my baseball caps, she was otherwise a beacon of joy and love. Having her to keep me company through Covid and helping me heal after a bad breakup and losing my cat buddy, really meant the world to me. Everyone whom has met her loves her gentle and kind soul. She is incredibly empathetic and hates any type of yelling (or even heavy sighing), she wants to make everyone happy. I’ve had her now over 6 years, with her likely being around 9…..and as time comes, she has developed a heart murmur and arthritis, and I know its only a matter of time before she is gone. Knowing that somehow someway, there will at least be a possibility of having another dog like her someday, or at least that someone somewhere could helps ease my heart of the lose i know i will experience sometime in the next few years, even if i could never actually afford to have her cloned myself. She loves hiking, eating, wagging her tale( she wags it to one side when shes really happy) and cuddles!
